What programs does the Ness School of Management and Economics offer?
The school offers four majors and an additional specialization:

In addition, we offer minors in Accounting, Agricultural Business, Agribusiness Marketing, Commodity Risk Management, Economics, Entrepreneurial Studies, Human Resources, Land Valuation and Rural Real Estate, Management, Marketing, Ranch Management and Banking and Financial Services (cooperatively through NSU).

Is the Ness School of Management and Economics accredited?
Yes. SDSU is accredited through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). This general accreditation covers the Ness School of Management and Economics. Many business schools also seek accreditation through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The SDSU Ness School of Management and Economics is currently in the very early stages of seeking this accreditation. 

Are there any extra fees associated with classes offered by the Ness School of Management and Economics?
Yes. All classes prefixed ACCT, AGEC, BADM, BLAW, DSCI, ECON, ENTR FIN, HRM, MGMT and MKTG are assessed a program fee of $30.20 per credit hour.

Are scholarships available through the Ness School of Management and Economics?
Yes. The school awards many scholarships each year to deserving students. Please see our scholarships page for detailed directions on how to apply.

Are internships available through the school?
Yes. Many students find that internships provide a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience while simultaneously earning academic credit toward their SDSU degree. Please contact our internship coordinator for additional information.

Does the Ness School of Management and Economics require an internship?
No, but we HIGHLY recommend completing at least one. An internship is a great way to set yourself apart. The experience you gain will be cherished. We will aid you in the internship process but not assign you an internship.

When should I meet with my advisor?
All students are required to meet with their advisor once per semester before they are allowed to register for classes for the following semester. In addition, your advisor should be your first point of contact for any academic issues that you face. See your advisor if you have questions about graduation requirements, encounter problems with a class, need a letter of recommendation, etc.

What clubs does the school have?
The Ness School of Management and Economics has six student clubs: Economics Club, CEO, FIRE, Human Resources and Management, Investment Club, NAMA and the Economics Graduate Student Association.

Does the school offer any graduate degrees?
Yes. In addition to our undergraduate programs, the school also offers two options for master's degrees. Highly qualified SDSU students can take advantage of the accelerated master’s program, which allows well-prepared students to complete both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees within five years of admission. Students who wish to pursue this option should speak to their advisor or the graduate coordinator as soon as possible. The accelerated master’s track requires careful academic planning to complete both degrees in five years.

What can I do with a degree from the school?
Our graduates find work in a wide variety of areas: management, finance, marketing, sales, agribusiness, small business management, banking, etc. Some of our graduates work in local, state or federal government. And of course, some graduates choose to continue their education by pursuing an advanced degree in business, economics, law or similar field.
