Employer Information

You are invited to attend the Ness School of Management & Economics Career Fair, where you will meet SDSU students and publicize the internships and full-time career opportunities available within your company. Registration for the fair includes one registration to the Employer and SDSU Faculty Networking Luncheon. The Networking Luncheon is an opportunity for you to make connections with faculty. It also is an opportunity to talk about your industry, its challenges and your needs with the professionals that educate your future employees. You may also take time to interview students you meet at the fair. Interview space will be available the evening of the fair, as well as the following morning and afternoon.

How much does it cost to have a booth at the Economics and Management Career Fair?

The cost for booth rental at the Economics and Management Career Fair is $150 and includes the following:

  • One 6 foot table, two chairs, access to campus Wi-Fi, and advertising and promotion of your company attendance at the fair.
  • Note: table and floor coverings and power extension cords are not provided.
  • One meal at the Networking Luncheon (optional). Additional meals cost $25 per person.
  • Parking on SDSU’s campus

What are the hours of the career fair?

Employer setup for the fair begins at 10 a.m. The fair will begin at 1 p.m. and close at 4 p.m.

What does SDSU provide?

What is the Employer and SDSU Faculty Networking Luncheon?

The Networking Luncheon is an opportunity for you to make connections with faculty and the opportunity to talk about your industry, its challenges, and your needs with the professionals that educate your future employees. Enjoy a buffet meal while networking with faculty from each department. Included in your company’s career fair registration fee is one luncheon. Additional representatives are invited to attend and will pay $25 per person when completing the career fair registration form. Please indicate the names of those planning to attend, or leave the spaces blank if nobody plans to attend the luncheon.

What types of position openings are employers hiring for?

Employers are looking for high-quality candidates to fill part-time, full-time, summer and internship positions.

What if I have to cancel my reservation? Will I get a refund?

If you are unable to attend the Career Fair after you have submitted your online registration, a refund will be granted for you if you notify us 10 business days or more prior to the event. Cancellations less than 10 business days prior to the event will not be granted a refund. 

Can I schedule interviews with students after the fair?

Yes, we encourage you to take advantage of your time in campus and interview those impressive students you met at the fair. You may reserve interview space for the evening of the fair or for the following day in the morning or afternoon. Please choose YES to “Interviews Onsite” on the general registration form, and a career fair Coordinator will contact you for arrangements.

Can I visit campus to recruit students outside of the Economics and Management Career Fair?

We welcome you to SDSU whenever you have open positions within your company. Please work directly with the Office of Career Development (605-688-4425) for your recruitment needs.

What is the Student Research Poster Competition? (Spring Only)

A Student Research Poster Session and competition is held during each Economics and Management Career Fair. Students display their work around the career fair for all to view informally. Throughout the fair students will be available for questions, followed by judging and award announcements. The projects will focus on the interconnectedness of theory and analytics to practical applications. This is a great way to see some of the quality work that SDSU’s Economics and Management students produce

Where can I park?

Employers are encouraged to park vehicles on the east side of the Student Union at SDSU. Registered companies will receive a parking code via email shortly before the fair, as parking is included in the registration.
