Scout Forbes-Hurd

Biography

Scout Forbes-Hurd has a background in hospital inpatient clinical pharmacy practice with a focus on interprofessional collaboration. Her research interests include preceptor development, advancing adult learner education through continuing education and SOTL with an emphasis on transitions on care in the inpatient hospital practice experience, experiential education, and sterile products preparation. She enjoys advancing continuing education opportunities within the pharmacy practice setting and working with external preceptors to develop new experiential sites and opportunities for students. Dr. Forbes-Hurd is the Co-Advisor for Kappa Epsilon and Co-Chair for the Continuing Education and Professional Development Committee for SDSU College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions. As service to the pharmacy community, she serves as a Board Member at Large for the South Dakota Pharmacists Association.
