Biography

Rachel joined the University Marketing and Communications team as a graphic designer in July 2014. After running her freelance graphic design business for over four years and her daughter starting kindergarten, it seemed time to go back to a full-time position outside the home. She has since been creating aesthetically pleasing and functional designs, meeting with customers and building relationships across campus.

Having moved from Wisconsin after graduation, she feels at home in her role at UMC and looks forward to continued growth in her field.

Education

Fritz received her bachelor of fine arts degree with a graphic design concentration from University of Wisconsin - Stout.

Work Experience

Designs materials for print, web and social media for the University, while maintaining a consistent look that represents the University's brand.

Builds relationships across campus to ensure the campus community is aware of the services offered at UMC.

Works with multiple vendors for print materials, to ensure everything from the stock of paper used to meeting deadlines are communicated clearly.

Maintains the university's Graphic Identity Manual.

At the request of the Creative Manager, does training on logos and proper usage of trademarks to individuals on campus.

Is backup to the Creative Manager for approval of apparel and merchandise items, also with logo and trademark usage on print and online materials as it pertains to the University's Trademark and Licensing program and the Graphic Identity Manual.

Assists with training and mentoring new full-time graphic designers and students.

Oversees graphic design student employee(s) in the office.
