Academic Interests/Expertise

I am interested in integrating and analyzing “big data” from biological systems, and specialized in various computational approaches, including data mining, machine learning, NextGen sequencing data analyses, agent-based models, metabolic network models, ordinary differential equations, and probabilistic graphical models. Currently, my research efforts focus on identifying the relationship between prenatal environmental exposures, epigenetic alternations, and long-term outcomes of child development and reproduction.

Academic Responsibilities

PHA 738: Health Informatics
This course will introduce health professions graduate students to the field of health informatics. Students will explore a diverse range of topics including electronic health records, clinical decision support, telehealth, and regulatory issues.

Awards and Honors
