Academic Interests/Expertise

In my role, I am particularly excited about utilizing alternative management strategies, such as targeted grazing, to help control invasive plants in South Dakota rangelands. I am especially interested in developing programming to engage women and youth, and am invested in education and outreach as a means to sustain South Dakota ranching.

Extension Responsibilities

In this role, I am responsible for Extension programming and research related to South Dakota rangelands. This includes developing collaborations with other SDSU faculty, as well as non-profits, state and federal agencies, such as the SD Grassland Coalition, SD Game, Fish, & Parks, NRCS, and BLM, to name a few.
