Biography

Katelyn Romsa is Associate Professor of Counseling and Human Development at South Dakota State University (SDSU). Katelyn and her husband, Bryan, reside in Brookings with their four children Grace, John, Joe, and Jake. Prior to coming to SDSU, Katelyn was a faculty member at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she received her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision. Katelyn also has experience working in a college counseling center, as a recruitment and retention coordinator, and as a sophomore initiatives coordinator. 

Katelyn is Coordinator of the Administration of Student Affairs (M.Ed.) and College Counseling (M.S.) programs at SDSU. Katelyn publishes and presents on the following topics: student-faculty interactions as predictors of college student retention and satisfaction, factors affecting the college choice of NCAA student athletes, and supervision models to maximize graduate student success.
