Academic Responsibilities

My focus of teaching is in the following areas: Pathophysiology and NCLEX-RN Preparation. In addition, I am a licensed HeartMath Certified Trainer and a certified HeartMath Mentor.

Research Grants: 1. Nursing Students’ Use of PDAs to Decrease Preparation Time and Improve Medication Administration Knowledge and Critical Thinking in the Critical Care Setting. 2. Effect of Sedative Music and Scheduled Rest on Anxiety, Pain, and Myocardial Oxygen Demand during Chair Rest in Adult Postoperative Open-Heart Patients.
