Biography
Geb (sounds like Jeb) Bastian is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Consumer Sciences, and SDSU's Extension Nutrition and Health State Specialist. Dr. Bastian's research focuses on the evaluation of community-based nutrition education programming, particularly that which serves low-income youth and adolescents. He is the co-author of the Extension curriculum "Rev It Up!" which promotes healthy nutrition and physical activity behaviors to high schoolers from low-income households. Dr. Bastian is the co-chair of the Agricultural Experiment Station Multistate Research Group NC3169: EFNEP-Related Research, Program Evaluation, and Outreach. Moreover, he is the Nutrition Discipline Head at the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Clinic, part of the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine's Center for Disabilities.Education
