Dr. Flint has been with SDSU since 1999. She earned her PhD in 1999 at the University of Texas at Arlington with a dissertation in the fields of Analysis, Numerical Analysis, and Differential Equations. She currently serves as the Assistant Department Head for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for SDSU.

She usually teaches Real Analysis and leads the Senior Capstone courses. Other courses she has taught include Honors Calculus II, Honors Colloquium (Numeracy and Mathematics and the Arts), Advanced Calculus, Survey of Analysis, Topology, Linear Algebra, Matrix Algebra, Quantitative Literacy, College Algebra, Calculus sequence, Precalculus, Intro to Statistics, and various topics courses. She has also taught online courses from freshman level through graduate courses in addition to advising numerous Senior Capstone Projects.

Dr. Flint has been awarded the Honors College Faculty Leadership Award (2012), The North Central Section of the MAA Meritorious Service Award (2017), the Edward Patrick Hogan Award for Teaching Excellence (2018), the Fishback Honors College Distinguished Service Award (2020), finalist for the Fishback Honors College Teacher of the Year Award (2021) and has been recognized 6 times by Honors students for contributions to their educational experiences.

Dr. Flint is a member of The Mathematical Association of America.
