Amy Heiberger

Biography
Amy Heiberger has a practice site at Sanford Children’s Hospital where she is a pediatric clinical pharmacist primarily in the pediatric critical care unit.
She precepts PGY1 pharmacy practice residents on their pediatric rotation and serves as a clinical instructor for the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. Heiberger teaches Pharm.D. students primarily in experiential education and pharmacotherapeutics, as well as coordinating a women’s and children’s health elective course.
She also serves as the faculty adviser for the SDSU student chapter of Pediatric Pharmacy Association. Her research interests are in the areas of sedation, analgesia and withdrawal in critically ill infants and children.
