Students living off campus and seeking a COVID-19 test can obtain one through the Jackrabbit Pharmacy or other pharmacies in their area. Students living on campus can get a test at the front desk of each on-campus residence hall. Tests will be available beginning Aug. 11.

Employee test kits are available through Emergency Management and are also widely available at pharmacies in communities. Please contact Jayme Trygstad to obtain test kits for your office.

COVID-19 Home Tests

Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023

CDC launched COVID-19 Testing Locator, which will allow consumers to search for free COVID-19 testing sites near them. The locator is part of the CDC Increasing Community Access to Testing (ICATT) program, which provides access to COVID-19 testing, focusing on communities at a greater risk of being impacted by the pandemic, people who do not have health insurance, and surge testing in state and local jurisdictions.

Updated Sept. 8, 2022

Ordering through this program was suspended on Friday, September 2 because Congress hasn't provided additional funding to replenish the nation's stockpile of tests.

If you need a COVID-19 test, COVID.gov has resources.

Brookings Community

The city of Brookings has a listing of locations in the community where testing is available. Like other parts of the nation, the testing landscape in Brookings is dynamic so we recommended you check frequently to inquire if they have tests available.
