IDEA (Innovative Digital Education Alliance)

Anytime, Anywhere, Online Learning

IDEA, formerly named Great Plains IDEA, is a partnership of 20 reputable public universities from across the United States that offer fully online degree and certificate programs across a range of subjects in human sciences and agriculture. All classes are taken entirely online, offering flexibility and convenience for working professionals and those balancing work, home, and academic responsibilities.

How does IDEA work? As an SDSU IDEA student, you apply and are admitted to SDSU, which becomes your home university. You enroll and pay the IDEA common price tuition at SDSU; however, you may take courses taught by faculty from partner teaching universities. Regardless of who teaches, your credits will appear on your transcript as SDSU credits.
