SDSU College Pharmacy and Allied Health Professionals course offering: Public Health and Native Americans
The course provides students with information on significant public health challenges and opportunities facing American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. Students will analyze and review research related to health disparities, quality of and access to health care services, and the provision of health care in Native American communities. Students will also examine the history and origins of the Indian health care system and explore evidence-based public health interventions that address health promotion and disease prevention in AI/AN communities.
