Certificates of College Teaching Development Program

The South Dakota State University Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, in cooperation with the Office of Academic Affairs, provides graduate teaching assistants and graduate students with a wide array of professional development opportunities packaged in three distinct certificates.

Through this certification program the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning hopes to assist departments with the enhancement of the level of instruction provided by SDSU Graduate Teaching Assistants and ensure high standards of quality teaching for our students.  This program will provide Graduate Teaching Assistants and graduate students the opportunity to gain recognition for their participation and completion of specific professional development opportunities.  Upon successful completion, certificate earners will be invited to a reception to publicly recognize their outstanding accomplishments.

As of August 2019, the CETL certificate program includes three possible certificates:

Certificate of College Teaching Development - Foundational Knowledge

Certificate of College Teaching Development - Practice I

Certificate of College Teaching Development - Practice II
