The Student Wellness Center has several state-of-the-art fitness machines and equipment, wellness classes and a conveniently located student health clinic.
Visitors can choose from various machines and weights for exercise. There are also three courts that can be used for basketball, volleyball, soccer and more. A suspended, three-lane indoor track oversees the Student Wellness Center. An indoor rock climbing wall and two fitness studios are also available for exercise use.
The Student Wellness Center is connected to the Stanley J. Marshall Center where an indoor lap pool is located.
The student health clinic offers basic check up and wellness services. If students are feeling ill, or are looking for a health exam, they can check into the health clinic to be examined. Counseling services are also available to students within the clinic. Jackrabbit Pharmacy, where students can refill prescriptions or buy basic over-the-counter drugs and supplies is located in the clinic as well.
Students can take advantage of health promotion and nutritional services at the Student Wellness Center. It is funded through student general activity fees, making most services free of cost for students. A second phase expansion is set for 2017.
