Mission

The mission of the American Indian Science and Education Society (AISES) looks to increase the number of Native American’s pursuing degrees and careers in Science, Technology, Engineer, and Math (STEM) fields.  AISES pursues this goal through various programs from pre-college through one’s professional years.  These programs include but are not limited to: networking, mentoring, professional development, scholarships, and conferences (both regional and national).  The South Dakota State University AISES chapter looks to advance this mission on the SDSU campus by promoting and encouraging STEM education and development.  Enrollment is open to any student that attends SDSU, and is not limited to students of Native American descent.
