Leadership opportunities expand learning and enhance college experience

How do you make the most of your college experience? Current students and alumni say it straight forward: "Get involved." Through involvement in clubs and organizations, students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences establish lifelong friendships, develop leadership skills, gain a better understanding of their profession, make a difference in communities, and strengthen their résumé for future employment.

Being on competitive teams is another way to get involved. Award winning, competitive student teams in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences include: Crops, Dairy Cattle, Dairy Products, Floral, Livestock, Meats, Range, Soils and Wool. Contact the department for more information.

More than 30 student organizations provide the opportunity to expand your classroom experience. Block and Bridle, Collegiate 4-H and Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation Club are just the beginning. SDSU's Rodeo Team, which is affiliated with the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association, is another place to get involved.
