Growing South Dakota is published several times throughout the year by the SDSU College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences.

Summer 2019 (Published August 2019)

This issue focused on academic programs and experiential learning opportunities, as well as judging team highlights, information about the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine, and numerous student and faculty awards. 

Winter 2019 (Published February 2019)

This issue contains the SDSU Extension 2018 Annual Report and the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station at SDSU 2018 Annual Report. 

Summer 2017 (Published July 2017)

The 2016 SDSU Extension Annual Report included information on a multi-state network to enhance water stewardship, the Master Gardener program, various youth outreach programs and the Proactive Program that assists ag producers and lenders with essential management topics. 

Summer 2016 (Published July 2016)

This issue focused on developing the nation’s leading precision agriculture initiative for education, research, and outreach.

The 2015 SDSU Extension Annual Report included information on the newly launched Contours program, forming South Dakota’s first food hub, and establishing the South Dakota Soil Health Coalition.

Articles in the Winter 2016 magazine is the South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station 2015 Annual Report focused on Beef Reproduction and Efficiency, Addressing Saline and Sodic Soils, and Opportunities For Carinata Explored.

Fall 2015 (Published October 2015) 

Articles in the Fall 2015 magazine focused on showcasing academic programs and experiential learning opportunities as well as information on the new e-Trading Lab, student organizations, and 93 years of Little International.

Summer 2015 (Published November 2015)

This issue included articles on new facilities & degree offerings, the need to modernize ADRDL facility, collaboration between producers and researchers guides research farm efforts and McCrory Gardens celebrates 50 year Anniversary.

Spring 2015 (Published April 2015)

The 2014 SDSU Extension Annual Report included updates on health education programs for South Dakota, resources for Farmers' Markets, highlights of multicultural programs and information about innovative new tools.

Winter 2015 (Published January 2015)

This issue contained the 2014 Research Annual Report and highlighted research programs in the areas of innovation, energy, food science and conservation as well as new designations for SDSU in technology and innovation.
