Woodbine Productions is a project of the SDSU Foundation and is underwritten by an anonymous benefactor who is committed to bringing great performances and entertainment to Brookings and South Dakota, as well as helping the next generation of musicians. All ticket sales directly benefit competitive scholarships for talented students of the SDSU Music Department.
The Woodbine Scholars Programs awards substantial music scholarships to the top-rated students who intend to pursue a music major at SDSU. It is very competitive and given to only three or four students per year.
The award per student is a total of $8,000 for four years: $3,000 the first year, $2,000 for the second and third years, and $1,000 for the final year.
Students are automatically considered for the Woodbine Scholarship when they audition in person or by recorded audition. No additional application is necessary.
