Accelerated Option: Sioux Falls
The Accelerated Option is for students who have completed a Bachelor's degree in any field and wish to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The program takes 12 months to complete and starts once a year (August) at University Center in Sioux Falls. Students take coursework and participate in lecture, on-campus labs, and clinical rotations in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities.
Before applying to the Accelerated Option, keep in mind that students must:
- apply to SDSU for
general admission to the University,
- complete the pre-requisite courses listed on page two of the application checklist (verify course equivalences on the transfer equivalency site),
- complete the supplemental legal form,
technical standards and
eligibility requirements, and
purchase a laptop computer that meets our computer requirements.
In order to apply to SDSU's Accelerated Option, you must use NursingCAS, the nursing professionals online application service.
Application to the Accelerated Option is available at NursingCAS, starting October 15th each year, with a deadline of January 25 for the following Fall program (August).
