Be an Orientation Leader

Help New Jacks prepare for SDSU!

Orientation Leaders (OLs) are members of a select team of students whose primary goal is to assist incoming students and their families with the transition to SDSU. Throughout the summer, OLs guide new Jacks through the Orientation process and help them get comfortable with academics, resources, services and life at State.

We are currently searching for the newest members of this elite group. The most successful OLs are those individuals who:

  • Are full-time undergraduates with a 2.4 GPA in good standing with the university
  • Act as academic and social role models
  • Support fellow OLs and Orientation staff members
  • Serve as positive representatives of SDSU and the Jackrabbit community
  • Love SDSU and want to share their experiences with others
  • Involve themselves in the campus and community, or have a desire to get involved
  • Have a strong interest in their own leadership and skills-based development
