Prairie Repertory Theatre moves performances to Brandon

PRT-(09)-Group-tinySouth Dakota State University’s Prairie Repertory Theatre Brandon box office opens for general ticket sales on Tuesday, July 13. Tickets can be purchased for any individual summer show or season books for the entire Brandon run.

Season books sell for $45 for adults, $39 for senior citizens 62 years and older, $27 for SDSU faculty and $24 for high school and younger. SDSU student season books and show tickets are free with an ID.

The 39th season will open and close in Brandon with the rollicking musical “Annie Get Your Gun,” a tale of pride, love and giving life your best shot.

“Annie Get Your Gun” will perform in the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, July 15 through Friday, July 17 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee on August 2.

The next show brings a wild comedy of absurd demands and eccentric houseguests. “The Man Who Came to Dinner” is performed Saturday, July 18 and Wednesday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee, July 19.

The third show, “Godspell,” provides an enduring musical highlighting the importance of innocence, discovery, simple joys and unconditional love.

“Godspell” will play in the Brandon Valley Performing Arts Center on Thursday, July 23 through Saturday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m., with a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee, July 26.

“Foxfire,” PRT’s fourth production, tells the emotionally-charged tale of a woman who must choose between her son and the memory of her beloved husband.

“Foxfire” will play in Brandon starting Wednesday, July 29 through Friday July 31 at 7:30 p.m.
