A degree from SDSU carries a lot of weight with prospective employers, but you’ve got many other resume-building opportunities available to you outside the classroom—more than 200 of them! Volunteer, join a club, or get an on-campus job; staying involved while in college will definitely boost your resume—not to mention your own personal development.

Build a Career Plan

Take advantage of the career services center on campus. Get resume help, learn to write an effective cover letter, sharpen your interview skills—the list goes on and on. The best part? It’s FREE!

Take it one step further—get a job now. Getting an internship is the best way to gain practical, hands-on experience within your career field. The good news? Many departments at SDSU strongly recommend or even require students to do an internship, and they’ll help you find one.
