Description:
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation Internship for Academic Credit is open to high school, undergraduate, graduate and continuing education students. You must have an interest in the peace and disarmament field, peace and security or non-profit management and be available to intern for six to ten hours per week for approximately ten weeks. You must include a letter of intent, two letters of recommendation, a resume and a copy of your transcript to be considered for this award. Applications are received on an ongoing basis.

Description:
The Editorial Internship is open to students who are currently enrolled sophomores, juniors or seniors with a minimum 2.5 GPA. You must have a liberal arts background and an interest in communications, publishing or the operations of a non-profit organization. You will work primarily with the editorial department as it pertains to the publishing and distribution of books, News Notes and newspaper columns and you have the opportunity to learn all aspects of communications and publishing. You must also be highly motivated with above average writing ability. This position is unpaid and for course credit only. The position dates are in the Fall, Spring and Summer and the location is in New York City, New York. A resume, cover letter and two recommendations are required and may be submitted via mail or e-mail. Please note The Christophers will not provide for long-distance travel expenses or housing arrangements related to this internship.

Description:
The Minority Access Internship Program is available to all undergraduate and graduate students. You must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed at least your undergraduate freshman year. This program is intended to offer students experience in diversity and scope of career opportunities available in the federal government and other participating entities. In addition to the application, you must submit an official academic transcript, one letter of recommendation and a resume to be eligible for this award.

You must have emphasis in the peace and disarmament field and be available to intern for 400 hours, or approximately ten working weeks full time during the summer. You must include a letter of intent, two letters of recommendation, a resume and a copy of your transcript to be considered for this award.

Description:
The Norm Mineta Internship is available to students who are interested in internship opportunities within the U.S. Department of Defense and other defense agencies. You must have completed at least 45 academic credits in an accredited college or university and be studying: engineering, history, mathematics/statistics, computer science/information technology, finance/accounting, economics/business, foreign languages, science, communications or political science/international relations. You must also be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 2.95 GPA, and pass security clearance at the Secret level to qualify for this program. Interns will receive a full scholarship covering the Washington Center's program fee, full-furnished housing in the Washington, D.C. metro area, a weekly stipend of $250 and round-trip travel to and from Washington, D.C.

Description:
The National Trust Internship is available to students who are interested in learning more about historic preservation and gaining more experience in the field. This is a 10-week internship program in Washington, D.C., where interns will have the opportunity to take part in projects in various departments in the Trust's main office and at D.C. historic sites. This year's program will begin June 6 and run through August 12.
Employer: Department of the Navy - Naval Historical Center

Description:
The Naval Historical Center Internship Program is open to students interested in naval history. Internships are available in the curator, education, public relations and design departments. There is no set length for an internship. Internships can last an academic quarter or semester, during which time the student may participate full or part time. The center provides no stipend or salary for interns. A small honoraria of approximately $20 per day ($400 limit per intern) is possible if funds permit. In addition to the application, you must submit one letter of recommendation, an unofficial transcript and a writing sample.

Description:
The IFES Africa Division Internship is available to currently-enrolled undergraduate and graduate students majoring in fields related to African studies. You must demonstrate excellent organizational, research, writing and communication skills and exhibit the ability to meet deadlines and support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel are also required. Preference is given to students with oral and written fluency in Portuguese.
Employer: Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW)

Description:
The C.R.O.W. Externship for Natural Science Students is available to natural science students and others interested in wildlife rehabilitation. Externships, which are a minimum of four weeks in length, are conducted at the non-profit C.R.O.W. hospital's facilities in Southwest Florida, and students will be able to participate in many aspects of the center's work while being supervised by a full-time staff veterinarian. Duties include cleaning compounds, diet preparation, orphan hand-rearing, patient handling, wildlife rescues and releases, and other projects.

Description:
The Italian Cultural Institute Internship is open to undergraduate students enrolled at an accredited college or university. You must be interested in Italian culture, demonstrate MS office suite and Internet proficiency, and have strong organizational skills. Knowledge of Italian is helpful, but not required. Interns must commit to working at least 25 hours per week or 100 hours per month. This unpaid internship is located in Washington, D.C.

The Elizabeth Hynson Internship is available to graduate and exceptional undergraduate students who are interested in learning more about historic preservation and gaining more experience in the field. This is a 10-week internship program in Washington, D.C., where interns will have the opportunity to take part in projects in various departments in the Trust's main office and at D.C. historic sites. A stipend will be provided.

Description:
The Paul Krueger Summer Internship is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are currently enrolled in a full-time academic program at a degree-granting institution studying art history, architectural history, museum studies, museum education or design. You must submit a cover letter stating the museum department(s) where you hope to be placed, a current resume, official college transcripts, two letters of recommendation and an essay. This internship is a 10-week program beginning the second Monday of June.
