Mr. Stowater is Partner and Vice President of Bluestem which he joined in 2000. He is currently in charge of portfolio management with responsibilities that include evaluation of prospective companies, structuring, negotiating and performing due diligence for various investments developed by Bluestem. Mr. Stowater currently sits on eleven corporate boards.
Mr. Stowater received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics from SDSU in 1984 and an M.S. Degree in Economics in 1986. He continues to stay engaged through participation in the Rickert Entrepreneurship Speaker Series and in the regions vibrant innovation and entrepreneurial community.
Post-graduation, Mr. Stowater spent eleven years with the State of South Dakota's Bureau of Finance and Management, starting as a budget analyst and ultimately serving as state economist and deputy commissioner. In 1997, he left the State to become an Assistant Vice President at Citibank, South Dakota with business analysis responsibilities in the North American Cards Customer Service Unit.
Tyler is married to Joni (Klosterman) and they have two children, McKenzie (Otterberg) and McCord.
