Jacks' Dining

Good food and good friends

You’ll find both in any of the on-campus dining locations at SDSU.

Good food
No matter where you are on campus, you’re not far from some good eating. Jacks’ Dining works hard to make sure that you have variety and flexibility in your dining options. In fact, you get to choose where you eat, when you eat, and the meal plan that’s right for you.  So you could say we “cater” to our students’ needs—yep, pun intended.

Good friends
Remember family dinners around the dining room table?  This is the next best thing.  Whether you’re grabbing a bite before your early-morning biology lecture or hungry after an evening intramural practice, you’ll find people to join you at the dinner table.

Right now we’ve got an assortment of seating options and enough space for you and your friends to dine in comfort.  And we’re excited to announce that we’ve got a major dining expansion plan in the works—so you’ll have even more dining and seating options.

The Student Union—already home to The Market and Jacks’ Place—will undergo renovations to add a whole new atmosphere for your dining pleasure.  Catch the game on one of many big screens in the new sports restaurant and grill or mellow out with friends in the privacy of your own booth. The dining expansion is expected to be completed by fall 2010.

Here’s a sampling of the dining options you’ll find on the SDSU campus:

The Market
Where can you find pasta, burritos, burgers and stir fry all in one spot? In The Market, our East side location, you can use your Flex dollars for just about anything your taste buds desire. Our dine-in or to-go options make getting what you want really convenient.

Medary Market
Located on the West side of campus, Medary Market offers home-style meals, a grill selection and an Extreme Pita station. Use your Flex dollars to dine-in or to-go, making breakfast, lunch and dinner more convenient.

Larson Commons
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are made-to-order at this all-you-care-to-eat location. Choose from home-style entrees, international cuisine, grill, deli, salad bar and more. All forms of payment, including block meals and Flex dollars, are accepted.

Jacks’ Place
No need for delivery.  Jacks’ Place has some of the best specially made pizzas, calzones and subs around, and you can use your Flex dollars. Open later into the evening, this is an ideal spot to meet up with friends, grab a bite to eat, kick back and relax.

Java City
You don’t have to be a coffee nut to enjoy Java City. In addition to plenty of coffee, latte and espresso-based selections, we’ve also got smoothies and teas. Satisfy your hunger with our baked goods, salads, sandwiches and wraps at any of three conveniently located sites.  Best of all, Flex dollars are accepted at all Java City locations.

Jackrabbit Convenience Store (a.k.a. The C-Store)
Mini-fridge empty? No time for a trip to the store? Use your Flex dollars in our on-campus C-Store to take the worry out of finding time to stock up on life’s little necessities: snacks, sodas, cereal, bread, milk, soap, shampoo – the list is endless. Even better, Flex dollars can be used at this location.

C3 Express
The perfect start to any study session, C3 Express in the Briggs Library has a stockpile of foods and beverages to keep you focused. Stop in for a salad, yogurt parfait, sandwich or granola bar. Caffeine calling? Whether on-the-go or staying a while, grab a cup of Starbucks coffee to keep you going.
