Horse Club

The SDSU Horse Club is dedicated to the promotion of the horse industry and horse-related events in the state of South Dakota. The club includes over 30 members who are active in sponsoring and implementing various activities. They host many activities, such as the annual 4-H Horse Judging Contest, trail rides, and clinics. They also assist with the planning of the South Dakota Horse Fair.

The SDSU Horse Club participates in a variety of activities from riding in the Hobo Day parade, to hosting a petting zoo to monthly trail rides. We organize social activities such as hosting bonfires, visiting the local ice skating rink, bowling and going to the movies. We volunteer on a monthly basis at Gentle Spirit Horse Rescue assisting with the animals. In addition to these activities, we work together to learn about all aspects of the horse industry.
