International Students

SDSU: It’s well worth the journey

Many SDSU students hail from South Dakota, but we’re proud that students from every U.S. state and more than 45 countries call SDSU “home.”

We need to receive international applications by June 1 (for Fall admission) or October 1 (for Spring admission). Please note that we need ALL of the following before we can process your application:

  • Completed International Student Application
  • Application fee (US $20)
  • Official transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools you’ve attended
  • Official TOEFL score*
  • Financial certification form and supporting documents

*If English is not your native language, you’ll need to score 500 or better on the TOEFL (paper-based score or the equivalent) within the past two years.

You do not need to provide ACT or SAT scores, although the scores do help with making an admissions decision. You will need to submit official ACT or SAT scores if you want to be considered for academic scholarships.
