What did you get out
of high school?
At SDSU, we look for signs that you’re ready for college-level work. You’ll need to have the following coursework under your belt with a “C” average or higher in these courses:
- 4 years of English (or an ACT English subtest minimum score of 18)
- 3 years of advanced math (or an ACT math subtest minimum score of 20)
- 3 years of laboratory science (or an ACT science reasoning subtest minimum score of 17)
- 3 years of social science (or an ACT social studies/reading subtest minimum score of 17)
- 1 year of fine arts
- Computer skills. We expect students to have basic keyboarding skills and experience in areas such as word processing, spreadsheets, and using the internet.
We also look for one of the following: ACT composite score of 18 or better; an overall high school GPA of at least 2.6 on a 4.0 scale; or rank in the top 60 percent of your class.
