As you begin the admissions process for Graduate School at South Dakota State University, questions about application procedures and requirements are likely foremost in your mind.

Here, too, we provide answers about requirements that must be met before you will be admitted into graduate school. They include:
- baccalaureate degree from an institution of higher learning
- completed application form a month before classes start
- official transcripts
- proof of immunization
- two letters of recommendation
- 3.0 or better GPA as an undergraduate, although conditional admission may be granted
- Graduate Record Examination: for biology, electrical engineering, microbiology, pharmaceutical sciences, and wildlife and fisheries (recommended for chemistry and plant science)
- for international students: a TOEFL score, evidence of financial support, and a medical record
