Study Abroad/National Student Exchange

Experiencing life outside the box

Are you ready to immerse yourself in a unique academic opportunity? If so, why not take advantage of a study exchange program in America or across the globe, where you can learn about the agriculture of France, study Civil War sites in the South, or explore the vast and ancient culture of India?

It all begins at South Dakota State University, where we know that these types of experiences significantly enhance the education of our students.

Through the state’s largest Study Abroad Program, you will be able to choose from more than 150 opportunities in 50 countries. Or, you can select a destination through the National Student Exchange, which has options at over 200 colleges and universities in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam.

“Imagine spending a moment of your life in a place you have read about and dreamt of for most of your life,” says student Sara Raber, who lived for a semester in Norwich, England learning about Europe and its culture.

Consider stepping out of your comfort zone and come experience education at a whole other level. Let the world be your classroom.
