Graduate Majors & Minors

Take your education—and your career—to the next level

If you’re ready for the knowledge and credentials that graduate study can give you, then you’re in the right place. South Dakota State University ranks as the number one research university in the state, according to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

Our 30 graduate programs span the fields of agriculture, engineering, social sciences, health sciences, education, biological sciences, nursing, computation, and geospatial sciences. As a Space Grant and Sun Grant university, we offer programs in renewable energy, remote sensing, geospatial sciences, and engineering. We collaborate with several federal research programs through many EPSCoR programs, as well.

Plus, as an SDSU grad student, you’ll work closely with a faculty committee dedicated to helping you craft the academic program that best fits your needs and interests.

So if you’re prepared to take that important next life step, SDSU is here and ready to assist you.
